Sarkar Raj Review June 10, 2008

Lately, RGV movies have been pretty crappy. In fact, that last good decent RGV movie I can think of is Sarkar, the first one (which was a pretty good movie). It’s so difficult to create a sequel to a successful movie because of the expectations, that’s why most sequels are only half as good. Or maybe its because sequels are just created for more business/money and for that reason, most of them suck.

Anyway, Sarkar Raj is an exception. It is a well directed thriller. The script is outstanding, along with the plot – which is full of surprises. There are many scenes and dialogues that leave a mark. The supporting cast is top-notch. Amitabh Bachchan is teriffic and takes the film to great heights. Abshishek and Aishwarya also deliver amazing performances. It’s one of those movies where each and every actor plays their parts flawlessly.

Rating: 4/5

Very few sequels are worth watching, let alone mentioning. After this one, I can’t wait for Sarkarni Raj.

    ‘Ek Çhai Lana’

  2. this movie was not upto the mark as Sarkar was. And its true that he is gonna master in crappy movies.

  3. Movie buff Says:

I just watched the movie yesterday on DVD. I thought it was quite boring initially, but loved the second part of the movie. The plot was really good and I guess it truly reflects how politics is really played out.

RGV’s direction was quite good. I really liked the way he’s shot it. It’s more of a Director’s movie than an actor’s.

  4. Every Thing Is Best,

    Nothing To Do So.

    Thanks.
